It was a black mission fig, it was so good I had to see if I could grow a fig tree. I came across Ben Nguyen's Fruit Adventures website, he is a local fig collector in my area. His blog and his youtube channel were so helpful. Now three years later, I call myself a fig addict. My son Long, who is five, and I have a fruit growing channel where we review all the fruits we grow and review figs that have fruited for us.
